Manchester Teenage Pregnancy Partnership has developed a Risk Assessment Toolkit and a shorter Risk Assessment Checklist. The Risk Assessment Checklist can be used when planning or delivering work with groups of young people. It is best used as an aide memoir and is not designed as a formal assessment. It is a useful tool to determine whether group members could be at heightened risk of becoming teenage parents. The Risk Assessment Toolkit can be used to help determine whether an individual young person is at risk of early parenthood. The tool should be used alongside other assessments. It is best used when there are existing concerns about a young person's lack of aspiration, sexual desire, or desire to become a parent.
